Introduction
Leadership and communications are inseparable. Our ability to energize and arouse people to even higher level of performance is directly related to our ability to communicate. Strong leaders are strong communicators. Communication strategies, system and practices do play a central role in high performances. Effective communication strategies, system and practices have a huge and direct effect on organization learning and innovation.
Leader
A good leader is someone who loves to lead other people and
does his/her best at it, in such a way that other people love to be led and do their very best too.
Leaders recognize their strengths and compensating for weaknesses. They command others attention. They persuade others to follow them or pursue goals .
Martin Luther King Martin Luther King, perhaps the most successful civil rights leader ever to take up the cause. The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. The thing that made him such a great leader was his ability to inspire people to take action and join the cause.
Leadership
Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. Leadership is a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential.

Importance of Communication
Through effective communication, leaders lead.
Good communication skills enable, foster, and create the understanding and trust necessary to encourage others to follow. Without effective communication, a manager is not an effective leader.

Communication Strategies
Communication does not "just happen." Effective communication requires effective strategy - a coherent plan of action. Communication strategies help the companies to propagate information in a structured and controlled manner. Communication strategy is the "what, who, why, when, how, and where" of conveying a message.
