Would it not be possible, in time of peace and quiet, to form relief societies for the purpose of having care given to the wounded in war
Volunteering has always been a vital part of the Red Cross and the Red Crescents community action. In 1859, the young Henry Dunant had the idea of mobilising women in the Italian village of Solferino to give first aid to the injured and dying, abandoned by their own troops on the battlefield. On returning home, Dunant recounted the experience in his Memoirs of Solferino which, some years later, gave birth to the Red Cross organisation.
Would it not be possible, in time of peace and quiet, to form relief societies for the purpose of having care given to the wounded in wartime by zealous, devoted and thoroughly qualified volunteers?

Bracelet Competition
The three International Schools of Geneva are taking part in the Red Cross Youth Bracelet selling Competition!
Taking place in the month of November, the mission is to sell as many Red Cross bracelets to friends and family in order to raise funds for Red Cross projects for underpriveledged children in Geneva. There will be prizes for the best seller from each school and a prize for the school which sells the most bracelets. Good luck!
Volunteers at the Red Cross Youth of Geneva always share great experiences and fun times together.
