Roles of CH Nurse Role Model provides good example of healthful living to the community Clinician - who is a health care provider, taking care of the sick people at home or in the RHU Health Advocator speaks/acts on behalf of the client Health Educator /Trainer - conducts seminars, health teaching, train new CH nurses Supervisor - who monitors and supervises the performance of midwives

Roles of CH Nurse Facilitator - who establishes multi - sectoral linkages by referral system Collaborator working with other health team Change Agent motivates changes in health behavior of ind., families, group & comm. Inc. lifestyle to promote & maintain health Researcher participates /assist in the conduct of surveys/researches r/t health Statistician records & reports data to appropriate authorities

Traditional and Alternative medicines act of 1997 by Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC) (Dec. 09,1997) To encourage scientific research on and develop traditional and alternative health care systems that have direct impact on public health care; To develop and coordinate skills training courses for various forms of traditional and alternative health care modalities;

To promote and advocate the use of traditional, alternative, preventive and curative health care modalities that have been proven safe, effective, cost effective and consistent with government standards on medical practice; To formulate policies to strengthen the role of traditional and alternative health care delivery system; and
