AUTOMATIC PARKING
Automatic parking is an autonomous car manoeuvrings from a traffic lane into a parking place to perform parallel parking, perpendicular or angle parking.
The automatic parking aims to enhance the comfort and safety of driving in constrained environments where much attention and experience is required to steer the car. The parking manoeuvre is achieved by means of coordinated control of the steering angle and speed which takes into account the actual situation in the environment to ensure collision-free motion within the available space.

HISTORY
The first historical mention of an automated garage was in a 1931 Popular Mechanics article which featured an underground garage where the car was taken to a parking area by a conveyor then an elevator to shuttles mounted on rails The first Kent Automatic Garages were already in service. NEED FOR AUTOMATIC PARKING IN 1931: High-density parking No covered perspectives More design flexibility for architects Clear streetscape No jammed roads Less traffic, because vehicles are not circling the block in search of parking Modernizing of historic buildings Additional potentials for added value

NEED
1. Space Saving Multiple the numbers of cars in the same space Increase the profts by full usage of land

2. Security Free from RISK OF INJURY Free from DAMAGE & DENTS Free from THEFT & VANDALISM

3. Convenience No more Heated Car by hot sunshine No more Dust/Sand by desert wind No more walking around parking decks

ADVANTAGES
Robotic Parking Systems manufactures high-speed automated parking structures from hundreds to thousands of cars in half the space of a conventional parking garage. Architects and developers use less space for parking and get space for design, development and community enhancements. Also helps create more saleable space by using Robotic Parking Systems, resulting in more profit. Space gained can be used for green space and open areas to meet standards. Automated parking offers security for both individual and car. Automatic parking reduces CO2 emissions and other pollutants and greenhouse gases. Flexible design allows the automated parking garage to fit into any neighbourhood or project. Robotic Parking Systems relieve traffic congestion.

TYPES OF AUTOMATED PARKING

TWO STEP SIMPLE STACKER

Salient Features Pallet used for CAR lifting. Applicable for In-Door & Out- Door. Easy to install. Preferred system at residential and commercial zones. Easy to operate. Low maintenance cost. Operating System is available with both the options Hydraulic & Electromechanical. Technical Specification Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 2000 mm Weight : 3000 Kg Suitable for Car Models Sedan For All levels & SUV For only ground level.

PUZZLE CAR PARKING SYSTEM

The cars move vertically and horizontally like a puzzle, till the car required comes to the lower level where it is driven out. Installed in basements, rooftops, under stilts, open grounds, terraces, driveways etc the system is designed in the form of a matrix of rows and columns such as 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 etc in which out of the total number of available spots, a certain number of spots are kept vacant to enable horizontal and vertical movement of remaining spots. Available in the range of two to six levels, all the cars are independent of each other and the system can be installed in a phased manner

Technical Specification Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 1550 mm Weight : 1900Kg

Suitable for Car Models Sedan For All levels & SUV For only ground level

SALIENT FEATURES Can be installed above ground & Below ground level. Two layer puzzle is always preferred. Preferred system specially for under ground. Low maintenance cost. Most efficient system can be achieved through combinations of units & functions. One empty slot is the key for the working. Single Set, Double set Front and back systems connected to monolithic steel structure with multi in - outs .

DISADVANTAGES: Generally only 2 or 3 cars can be parked in the space for one therefore there is no space saving really. This system works on a one slot empty basis, hence to retrieve or park one car multiple cars have to be shifted, thus increasing the time taken. As the number of pallets (cars) that have to be moved for parking or retrieving a single car the number of moving parts increase and hence the operation and maintenance expenses increase. The system is noisy also.

Operation (To take out RED Car):

ELEVATOR PARKING SYSTEM

Salient Features Vertical Allocation of the parking rooms. Up and Down movements of lifts. Independent Steel tower type and built in type.
Technical Specification - For M Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 1550 mm Weight : 1900Kg Technical Specification - For L Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 1650 mm Weight : 2300Kg, This is optional

FLAT BI-DIRECTIONAL PARKING SYSTEM

Minimized the IN/OUT time by simultaneous Lifting & Traversing operation. Available to increase system according to space capability. Energy saving mechanism due to partial operation by advanced control system.

CONCEPT

CHESS TYPE PARKING SYSTEM

Fully automatic Chess Parking system are a futuristic parking system. This system ensures maximum utilization of the floor space without the need of drive ways, and space for movement of mechanisms. This has floor mounted roller bed system which can allow the crisscross movement of the pallet and the car. It has separate lifts which act as entry & exit points. Preferably installed on RCC floors, it can be designed for 800 to 1000 cars or even more and can be used in longitudinal & square areas.

Salient Features Vertical Allocation of the parking rooms. Up and Down movements of lifts. Independent Steel tower type and built in type. Technical Specification Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 1550 mm Weight : 1900Kg

LEVEL PARKING SYSTEM

Used for large buildings and for superior space efficiency. Addition to multi level parking spaces with vertical and horizontal directions to facilitate the entry & exits of cars. Operating systems are: lift, side sliding, pallet.

Technical Specification - For M Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 1550 mm Weight : 1900Kg
Technical Specification - For L Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 2000 mm Weight : 3000Kg, This is optional Suitable for Car Models Sedan For All levels & SUV For only ground level.

MULTI LEVEL CART PARKING SYSTEM

A series of coordinated vertical and horizontal movement of cars controlled by intelligent software systems inside a RCC structure. SALIENT FEATURES Can be installed Under ground or out-doors. Approx. 60 -70 cars per lift can be accommodated. Different System types : Transfer type, longitudinal type, hydraulic type, wire rope type; can be used. Reduced In - Out time for Car. Turn table parking gives more flexibility to system. Operating systems are main Lift, Cart, Pallet. Technical Specification Car length : 5100 mm Width : 1900 mm Height : 1550 mm Weight : 1900 Kg

EXAMPLE
The car park consists of a number of parking rings, each of a certain number of parking places. In the centre of all the rings there is an elevator having an arm. The lift can move on the vertical axis only while the arm can only rotate around the lift axis. ADVANTAGES Whole structure can be customized as per customers requirements and limitations. Each level inside the parking system can be varied as per the dimensions of various cars SUVs, compact cars, etc. Reduced noise and air pollution levels in such systems; Minimal chances of fire; no risk to human lives.

Low parking and retrieval times average of 90 - 150 seconds per car depending upon configuration.

CASE STUDY

IBN BATTUTA GATE, DUBAI, UAE - 765 SPACES

Turn key system design, start up of operations and maintenance for a 765 space automatic parking garage for the Ibn Battuta Gate project in Dubai, UAE. Operations started in August 2009 This robotic parking facility is a designed and built project. It is the first automated parking garage in the Middle East region. Permits for this stand-alone garage were obtained in 2007. The automated car park was constructed in 2008 and officially opened on August 12th 2009. We believe that this facility is the world's first and only automated parking garage that had pre-opening performance tests conducted that proved peak traffic handling of more than 250 cars per hour. Dubais first automatic car park is Capable of handling 765 vehicles, it is the first of several large-scale robotic car parks being built to address parking problems in the UAE. The technology behind the automated parking system was developed by USbased Robotic Parking, and has been brought to the region by the MAG Group, a local property developer. All the customer sees is a parking garage with space for one car, though the floor is platform which rides on the top of a robotic trolley. When the customer leaves the vehicle and collects a ticket, the wall of the garage drops away and the car is whisked to an elevator, which in turn takes the car to another trolley. From there, the machine parks the car in the dark depths of the structure. In total, the process takes around three minutes

PARK YOUR CAR 1. Drive up to the automated parking garage. The Robotic Parking System offers complete design flexibility and can blend with any neighborhood or project
