The black people retaining the disadvantage of skin colour and the lack of freedom. free bird The white people retaining freedom, aversion toward the black people.

Breeze and fat worms

Represents the opportunity and also demonstrate about most of white people cares more about their wealth than about the black peoples oppression.
Wings are dipped and his feet are tied

Shows the disadvantages of blacks people due to their skin colour.

Comparison (Irony)
In stanza 1 and 2 the poet compares

the life of a free bird and caged birds. The free bird dares to claim the sky but the caged bird can seldom see through his bar of rage.
The white people has the freedom to do what they want to do where as the black people does not have the freedom to do

The free bird dips his wings in the

orange sun rays but the caged birds wings are clipped and feet are tied.
These indicates the comparison between the white and the black. Through tradition and history, white people have been given hopes and spirit where as the blacks are servile and bound by tradition. This controversy is condoned and accepted. This tradition has caused the death of black peoples dreams and hope.
