MINI-GRANT PURPOSE
Stimulate on the ground projects that aligns with the goals and strategies of the partnership. Biggest bang for the buck- with results that we can own and promote as a partnership. Strong partner collaboration. Overlaps many categories that create the regions sense of place.

Preserve, sustain, and develop critical natural and cultural assets of the region

Promote regions natural and cultural assets and develop them into a major regional economic force
Build a critical mass of public and private organizations, non-profits, and citizens to support the Partnerships mission

A) INVENTORY our assets so that we can preserve, promote, and develop them B) PROMOTE AND ADVOCATE for natural and heritage assets, agriculture, and recreation and SHOWCASE ORGANIZATIONS/ BUISNESS that support them C) COLLABORATE with key COMMUNITIES to preserve, promote, and develop natural and heritage assets, agriculture, and recreation D) SUSTAIN THE PARTNERSHIP and develop programs and activities that will attract all kinds of demographics

Who can apply ?


Municipalities, municipal agency, a pre-qualified land trust and authorized organizations are all eligible applicants. Authorized organizations must be both tax-exempt under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and registered with the PA Dept. of State, Bureau of Charitable Organizations. The Pennsylvania Recreation Trails and the ATV legislation also allow eligibility for some private groups.

What Amount Can You Ask For?


There is a grant request limit of $25,000 and a minimum of $2,500

Where Does The Project Need to Be Located


All projects must be within Cumberland, Adams, Franklin, or York County and have significant ties to the assets of the South Mountain, to the communities tied to these assets, and to the working lands surrounding it. Applicants must submit in the application a list of all participating partners who would benefit or participate in the project.
