Jaipur Development Authority, a body constituted under Jaipur Development Authority Act 1982(Act.25) under the Department of Urban Development and Housing, Government of Rajasthan. JDA has been committed to work for the benefit of the citizen of Jaipur with planned implementation of development scheme and is consistently striving to take Jaipur at higher levels of progress.
One of the busiest intersection due to traffic congestion. More possibilities of accidents. Earlier proposal was the construction of 4 lane flyover. Then metro corridor proposed from Mansarovar to Ajmer road via Gurjar Ki Thadi intersection. And so the construction of underpass on Gurjar Ki Thadi decided.
PROJECT PROFILE
Name of the work = Gurjar Ki Thadi Underpass Department = Jaipur Development Authority, Jaipur. Agency = ARSS Infrastructure Pvt. Limited. Consultant = N.K. Buildcon Pvt. Limited. Cost of Project = Rs 28,27,44,480 Date of Started = 13.10.2009 Duration = 18 Month
ADVANTAGES OF UNDERPASS
Reduction of load of heavy vehicle. Reduction in the rate of accidents. Will provide convenient crossing through intersection. Waiting on traffic signal will be for less interval. Heavy vehicles can pass without affecting local traffic.

Slump is a measurement of concretes workability. a cone, 300 mm of height. The base is 200 mm in dia and it has a smaller opening at the top of 100 mm . The slump value at the site was =90mm (For M40) for slab of Box

Fineness modulus :-A measure of the fineness or coarseness of an aggregate sample, usually the fine aggregate (sand). It is determined by adding the cumulative percent retained on each of a specified series of sieves, and dividing the sum by 100. FM = Sum(Cumulative % retained)/100 FM= 4.2+17.40+25.60+53.60+82.40+95.80 100 FM = 2.79

CONCRETE MIX DESIGN OF M40 GRADE (using OPC-43 Vikram ultra tech cement)
Design as per IS : 10262 What is mix design The process of selecting suitable ingredients of concrete and determining their relative amounts with the objective of producing a concrete of the required, strength, durability, and workability as economically as possible, is termed the concrete mix design. M40 grade used in this project for construction. To aarive a proper design mix , specific gravity of coarse aggregate and fine aggregates was determined in site laboratory at casting yard.
Cont..
Parameter for mix design M40 fine aggregates = 2.67 Coarse aggregates = 2.63 degree of control = good Exposure = moderate Nominal mix of aggregates = 20mm Grading of sand = Zone-II
