Cor-DECT EnhancementsImproved Sensitivity

The sensitivity achieved is typically -91dbm (-83dbm for Wallset and -86dbm for Base stn) The level upto which the BER is better than 10(-5)is -86dbm ( in -73dbm) ( ..) indicates the requirement specified in DECT standard.

Cor-DECT EnhancementsTiming Adjustment

A patented timing adjustment scheme is incorporated in corDECT where the subscriber tml and the RBS adjust their transmission based on the distance from CBS-10km maxi, thus ensuring the signals are received within their respective timeslots (possible upto 5km only in DECT)

Cor-DECT EnhancementsLow cost,Compact,High gain antenna

Patch antennas for the operation at 1.9 GHZ (wavelength approxi. 15cm) are designed 7.5db patch antenna at sub end has a HBWof 80 and VBW of 50 degree making visual alignment of antenna towards CBS possible--- Minimum front to back ratio is 15db, ensuring good rejection of signals from other CBSs in the vicinity

Cor-DECT EnhancementsLow cost,Compact,High gain antenna

12db antenna is with HBW of 60 and VBW of 25 degrees is used for sectorized deployment Minimum FBR is 20db ensuring good frequency reuse in sectors 6db gain omni directional antenna has VBW of 10 degrees, making accuracy in verticality while mounting. 20db gain grid antenna in RBS

RBS

corDECT - Air Interface

Interface between CBS and the FWT DECT Protocol used 1880 1900 MHz : 20 MHz band needed for operation The DECT frame has 24 time slots
5 ms Tx from Base Station 1 2 480 bits 12 13 5 ms Tx from Wallset 23 24

DECT Frame Structure

corDECT - Air Interface Dynamic Channel Selection (DCS) Decentralised FWT controlled channel selection Select best channel for call setup During the call - monitors channel for quality MC-TDMA/TDD Multi-carrier Time Division Multiple Access with Time Division Duplex. Channel is specified as Frequency, Time-Slot pair. 12 simultaneous calls. Authentication and Encryption supported.

FST (Field Survey Tool)

Can display signal strength in dbm(with frequency &slot) Can work as a FWT for voice &IP Can support for RBS configuration Can scan all available DECT DIUs&CBSs and provide signal strength

FST (Field Survey Tool)

Used for coverage measurements in new corDECT installation & new connection Used for Field maintenance and debugging problems related to RF coverage Used for RBS configuration without PC/Laptop

GPS (Global Positioning System)-RECEIVER

Useful for determining the basic position and distance from the location in meters/feets Provide & store location information in latitude, longitude and altitude The distance is the aerial dist. From the reference location. GPS receiver must be locked to 3 sat to calculate in 2D
