Kertas 1 : 40 soalan objektif aneka pilihan ( 40 markah ) dijawab dalam tempoh masa 1 jam Kertas 2 : 8 soalan struktur ( 60 markah ) dijawab dalam tempoh masa 1 jam 30 minit

Answering Technique

Your answer must be accurate and as brief as possible ayat jangan meleret-leret dan menyalin sebahagian besar daripada soalan pastikan tulisan sentiasa kemas dan mudah dibaca potong perkataan yang tersalah tulis SEKALI SAHAJA (sekiranya anda menggunakan pen)

Each answer is given 1 mark If a answer is 2 marks given , 1 mark for your correct answer and another supporting answer In the calculation question where the formulae is provided and 2 marks is given, transferring value to formulae is 1 mark given and other for accurate answer.

PMR candidates should be careful with 2 marks question ,the correct terms must be used in describing processes . Candidates involve must answer correctly according to the sequence.

Spelling must be accurate .- The spelling mistake is negotiate when meaning does not change. In case the words is provided , spelling must be correct.

Jangan menggunakan simbol kecuali apabila diminta Contoh: Nyatakan formula bagi Hukum Ohm. Jawapan yang kurang baik: R= V/I Sebaik-baiknya: Resistance= Voltage/ Current

Elakkan menggunakan simbol bagi atom atau molekul kimia. Ini kerana, ramai pelajar yang menggunakan simbol yang salah.

Kenalpasti sama ada, soalan menghendaki anda: menyenaraikan ciri-ciri (characteristic) menyatakan sebab atau alasan (give reason/ why) menerangkan pernyataan (state/ give detail/ describe/ explain) menyenaraikan contoh2 (give examples) menyatakan definisi (define/ give meaning) menyatakan lokasi (where/ define location) menyatakan proses (how)

menyatakan fungsi (give function) menyatakan pemerhatian (state observation) beri cadangan (give suggestion/ state other ways to ) membanding (compare and contrast) menyatakan jenis (define type) membuat pengiraan (show calculation) menyatakan perkaitan (state relationship) membuat andaian (give prediction)

The Weaknesses in answers

Answer with long description but without key word that is needed To explain the process that occurs in our body that is represented by experiment , the candidates do not answer according to the experiment but explain the real process in our body.

Candidates always guess the answer whereas FAO is implemented In case of the characteristic questions , candidates always answer based on their own knowledge Candidates are still weak in science process skill.

KERTAS 2 Dibahagikan kepada 2 bahagian A dan B Bahagian A - 40 marks No 1 to No 6 - each question between 5 to 9 marks given. Bahagian B 20 marks No 7 and No 8 - question no. 7 is usually 8 marks - question no. 8 is usually 12 marks The question format is depend on JPU from Lembaga peperiksaan

The question no 7. - higher level question and vary rigid in marking scheme . At glance the question seem quite easy, but FAO is implemented Soalan no. 7 biasanya bertujuan untuk menguji kemahiran pelajar untuk mengenalpasti ciri-ciri yang ada pada gambarajah yang disediakan dan kemudiannya membuat pengelasan terhadap gambarajah yang sama.
