Use of technology in such a manner that it will not affect the environment and will not harm the natural resources. They should be environment friendly. Green technology is also referred as Clean Technology. At present green technology can be considered to be in the initial stage of development.

GREEN TECHNOLOGY
1) 2) 3) 4) Green technology addresses climate change and environmental sustainability. Use energy most efficiently. Transform our transportation system. Producing renewable energy. Stabilizing the climate require changes in many sector of economy.

Reliance on fossil fuels for energy is a central part of the problem. Reducing their dominance in the global energy system will be key for climate stability. Carbon dioxide emission from fossil fuels will have to be cut by 85% below current level by 2050 to prevent catastrophic climate change

Solution to carbon problem is a new energy system. Technologies are available today to allow a rapid shift in the mix of energy sources on which the world depends. Solar, wind, geothermal and biological resources have the potential to supply vast quantities of energy that can be converted to electricity and liquid and gaseous fuels.

This require major changes in the worlds energy infrastructure and more efficient use of energy. Require mobilizing substantial resources which in turn will depend on major policy changes that overcome subsidies that prop up the current energy system. Transformation in energy has been a relatively static business characterized by slow incremental change.

CLIMATE CHANGE
Rebuilding the global energy system will require large initial investments but in the long run it will be more economical than continuing on the current path. A low - carbon economy would create thousands of new businesses and millions of jobs.

CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change, energy security and economic development should be viewed in the words of John Gardner as Breath taking opportunities disguised as insolvable problems.

RENEWABLE ENERGY
Combination of falling technology costs and rising fossil fuel prices has taken renewable energy to the threshold of economic competiveness. Wind power is already less expensive than natural gas fired power and nearly even with coal. Solar power is on the track to be economical within next 5 years

INDIAN SCENARIO
Changes in national and state policies have created a large domestic manufacturing basis for renewable energy systems and products. Annual turnover of the renewable energy industry including the power generating technologies for wind, solar and biomass has reached a level of Rs.500 Billion.

SUSTAINABILITY OF ENVIORNMENT
According to World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) sustainability is A form of development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generation to meet their own needs

SUSTAINABILITY OF ENVIRONMENT
According to Oak Ridge National Laboratory the following questions should be asked to determine if a product is sustainable. 1. Does it have a long life ? 2. Does it save energy ? 3. Does it add durability ? 4. Does it contribute to waste stream ? 5. Is it renewable and recyclable ?

OUTDOOR LIGHTING
OF RENEWABLE ENERGY BASED LIGHTING SYSTEM. SOLAR POWERED LED LIGHTS PROPOSED FOR OUTDOOR LIGHTS

SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHTS

ALL OUTDOOR LIGHTS PROPOSED ARE STAND ALONE TYPE WITH INBUILT SOLAR PANELS AND BATTERY. REDUCTION IN CABLING COST AND ENERGY CHARGES. PROVIDED WITH LED WITH PRECISELY FORMED LENSES TO DIRECT THE LIGHTS TO REQUIRED AREA AVOIDING LIGHT POLLUTION

INDOOR LIGHTING
GREEN LED LIGHTS ALTERNATIVE TO CONVENTIONAL SOURCE OF LIGHT. IN LED , +VE AND VE CHARGE CARRIERS RECOMBINE WITH APPLIED VOLTAGE , AS A RESULT ENERGY IS RELEASED IN THE FORM OF LIGHT OCCUPANCY AND DAYLIGHT CONTROLS REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION

LED LIGHTS
LIFE SPAN 50 TIMES LONGER THAN AVG.LAMP 100% ENVIORNMENT FRIENDLY. ZERO HARMFUL EMISSION. 80% LUMEN MAINTENANCE EVEN AT THE END OF 20000 HOURS 40% SAVING IN ENERGY

T5 LAMPS
OFFERS 30% LESS ENERGY CONSUMPTION THAN CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM AND 10% MORE EFFICENT THAN HF T8 LAMPS

LIGHT POLLUTION CONTROL

LEDS BEING A POINT LIGHT SOURCE ,CAN BE SUITABLY CONTROLLED WITH A LENS TO ILLUMINATE DESIRED AREA . IDEAL FOR CONTROLLING LIGHT POLLUTION REDUCTION OF LIGHT POLLUTION IS ACHIEVED BY MINIMIZING TRESPASS FROM BUILDING AND SITE AND REDUCTION OF SKY GLOW TO INCREASE NIGHT SKY ACCESS.

SELECTION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENTS

ALL MOTORS PROPOSED ARE ENERGY EFFICENT TYPE. TRANSFORMER SELECTED HAS MINIMUM CORE LOSS AND COPPER LOSS. ELECTROLYTIC GRADE COPPER FOR WINDING TO REDUCED COPPER LOSS STRAY LOSSES REDUCED BY SPECIAL DESIGN

SOLAR PV PANEL
PROPOSED TO INSTALL SOLAR PV PANELS TO HARNESS SOLAR RADIATION. THE MAIN POWER SOURCE OF THE SYSTEM IS SOLAR PANELS WHICH PRODUCES DC ELECTRICITY FROM SUNLIGHT . THE DC ELECTRICITY IS CONVERTED TO AC POWER USING PURE SINE WAVE INVERTERS

GOVERNMENT POLICY
GOVT. OF INDIA HAS APPROVED A NEW POLICY CALLED JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU NATIONAL SOLAR MISSION AS PER THE ABOVE POLICY ELECTRICITY SUPPLIER HAS TO PURCHASE 0.25 % OF ENERGY SOLD IN PHASE 1 AND GO UPTO 3% BY 2022. THE MISSION ENCOURAGES ROOF TOP SOLAR PV PANELS CONNECTED TO LT/ 11 kV GRID TO REPLACE CONVENTIONAL POWER.

GOVERNMENT POLICY
THE DISTRIBUTION UTILITY WILL PAY TARIFF DETERMINED BY SERC FOR METERED ELECTRICITY GENERATED FROM SUCH PLANTS. THE LEVELISED TARIFF PROPOSED BY SERC IS Rs. 17.91 / kWh
