Allow some self control. You still have a role.

Students will use their native language.


A small group is safe environment for communication. Use simple language in the activities.

Students errors will be reinforced in small groups.

Over-correction hinders fluency and performance flow.

Some learners prefer to work alone.


The intrapersonal student still has a place. Foster the fact that communication is a life skill.

Why using group work is


When done properly, group work teaches individual responsibility for learning. Generates interactive language. Accommodates individual differences and addresses learning styles. Encourages cognitive learning involvement. Motivates learners and increases time- on task through interesting activities.

Why using group work is


Groups can be more productive and efficient than individual learning. Group work allows students to share information, strategies, and personal experiences. With proper guidance, group work enhances the development of social skills. Group work helps to divide large assignments into more manageable tasks.
