Rapeseed and mustard increased by 7.4 % But GRAMS production decreased by 23% As it was 7.4Million tones in last year Now it is only 5.7 million tones

Minor crops
Oil-seed, includes cotton seed and sun-flower and canola . The total availability of edible oil in 200809 was 2.821 million tons. Local production of edible oil was 684 thousand tons in 08-09, which is 24 percent of the total

Minor crops
production of masoor, onion and potato increased by 1.4%, 9.0% and 15.9% respectively production of mung, mash and chillies decreased by 24.6%, 20.6 % and 0.5% respectively.

Proper techniques can give you higher yeild DPP provides services in this regard provides facilities such as Locust Survey and Control, Plant Quarantine Service, Aerial Pest Control, Pesticide Registration, Testing and Management A project of Establishment of Pesticide Quality Control and Research Laboratory Quetta has been completed

Works on Gomal Zam Dam Project is Tribal/Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area continues despite of law& order situation. A sum of Rs. 5.71 billion was spent for lining of irrigation channels in Punjab, Sind and KhyberPakhtunkhwa. An amount of Rs. 16.067 billion was spent for the improvement of existing irrigating system.

Pakistan is committed to increase forest cover from existing 5.2 % to 5.7% by the year 2011 and 6 % by the year 2015. By 2030, Pakistan will be managing all types of forests on ecosystem approach, Pakistan has set a new Guinness World Record in maximum tree planting 300 people planted 541,176 propagulesof mangrove tree on 796 acres on an island at Keti Bundar in the Indus Delta.

Livestock sector contributed approx 53.2 % of the agriculture value added and 11.4 percent to GDP . Gross value addition of livestock at current factor cost has increased from Rs. 1304.6 billion (200809) to Rs. 1537.5 billion (200910) showing an increase of 17.8 percent as compared to previous year.

Fisheries
. Fisheries share in GDP although very little but it adds substantially to the national income through export earnings . During the year 200809, a total of 134,000 m. tons of fish and fishery products were exported earning US$ 236 million During the period JulyMarch 200910 the total marine and inland fish production was estimated 952,735 M. tons out which 667,762 M. tons was marine production and the remaining catch come from inland waters

Fisheries
There is an increase of 1.3 percent in the quantity compared to the last year. Marine Fisheries Department is executing two development projects Stock assessment survey programme in EEZ of Pakistan Accreditations of quality control laboratories of Marine Fisheries Department

Exports
Improved government policies over the past decade have made Pakistan a net exporter of guar products, tobacco, cotton, and rice Main exports are cotton and wheat
