Middle School Design

The Age Range of Children Served


Children 3-5 years and that are not Kindergarten eligible. Child has to turn the age four within a certain allotted time frame. (Differs from state to state.) Child must be potty trained.

Children ages 511yrs. Age dateline Proof of immunizations from physician.

Children eleven to fourteen years of age. Meet age by deadline. Current shot records.

Physical and Social Development

Team Sports
Tee-ball Basketball Soccer

Classroom Olympics Team work and competition! Events will focus on agility, speed, and timing. The winning team will receive a trophy and every child will receive a reward for participation.

Learning Theory Used Social learning theory- commits social interaction and team spirit. Both activities will encourage social, and cognitive development. The team based nature of many of the games will help children learn how to work together in teams and resolve differences among themselves. (Cleveland, 1999)

PE /GYM Class Play age appropriate games Play inside or outside Exercise and team work One legged rabbit Play inside and outside Children get exercise by hoping on one foot. Learning Theories Used Social learning theory.

Mat for story time, authors chairs and literacy sharing. Computer station S.O.P all around room Vision Statement Reading material, games, puzzles, and maps. Storage bins Dry Erase Boards

Classroom Design K-5

Large Screen Monitor/Projector (with PC/Net connection) Great for story time (Pages from books can be displayed on screen) Slide Shows (Great to display pictures of recent fieldtrips, of different animals, or of different musical instruments.) Group Interactive Games (Games can be played online, displayed on large screen, and interacted with all children).
