PEFA meeting the needs of all its stakeholders Stakeholder network: opening the PEFA Program to new institutional

voices Phase 4 of the PEFA Program seeks to foster the global public good nature of the PEFA Program and to reach out to a wider group of PEFA stakeholders that could be defined as a Reference group. Current PEFA partners are now interested to broaden the voice to stakeholders outside the PEFA Partner group and reach out at country, regional and international levels. The program aims at promoting: regional and international monitoring of PFM systems improvements evaluation of capacity development effectiveness establishment of good practices in PFM One focus will be on strengthening the network of international development institutions and practitioners, especially country governments already involved in or using PEFA-based assessments. Another focus will be to invite the participation of institutions new to PEFA: legislatures, CSOs professional associations, research institutions and standardsetting bodies. 5/3/12 We would welcome your suggestions on the following issues for the

We would welcome your suggestions on the following issues for the orientations of Phase 4: Question 1: which steps could be envisaged to give PEFA stakeholders an opportunity to: contribute to future amendments to the Framework (upstream) develop stronger ownership and commitment to use PEFA for dialogue on PFM reforms at country level (downstream) Question 2: which organizations or institutions should be considered (profile) Question 3: what do the PEFA institutional stakeholders expect from the PEFA Program (type of interaction wanted)?

Community of PEFA Practitioners (PEFA COP)


In order to reach out to all potential stakeholders in the next phase, the PEFA Secretariat will undertake to revitalize and redefine the PEFA Community of Practice (PEFA COP). The recruitment of a Dissemination Adviser in 2011 and the upgrade of the PEFA website in 2012 are the first steps towards the renewed identification and maintenance of the PEFA community. In the future, the Program intends to register members of the PEFA COP and promote interactions throughout the PEFA COP through its new website.
