benefits of Salat al
Duha.

The morning prayer (offered between Fajr and Dhuhr) is called Salat al-Duha. According to most hadith, Salat al-Duha is 2 rakats however there are some narrations that indicate it could be prayed in up to 12 rakats. This salat is a form of Sadaqa. The prophet (SAWS) stated that in the morning, every one of our limbs must pay a sadaqa . He (SAWS) said that every tasbih, every tahmid, every tahlil, every takbir, every command of good, and every forbiddance of evil is a form of Sadaqa and all of this is accomplished through two rakats one can pray in Duha. Salat alDuha was a tradition of all of the prophets (upon whom be peace) including the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). As a matter of fact, Prophets Dawud, Sulaiman, and Ayyub (AS) are all called Awwab in the Quran.

What is Salat al Duha?

Salat al Duha is also known as

1) Sibhat al-Duha (Sibha meaning supererogatory; Duha meaning morning), 2) Salat al-Awwabin (meaning Prayer of the oft-returning this term is also related to the word tawba which means to repent); this prayer is usually referred to as Salat alAwwabin when it is prayed in mid-morning about one or two hours prior to Dhuhr, 3) Salat al-Ishraq (meaning Sunrise prayer think of shurooq as sunrise), and 4) Salat al-Fath (meaning the Victory Prayer because the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) prayed this upon entering Makkah and so this has become the sunnah of military leaders when entering a newly conquered region.)

Rakahs
Its length is between 2 as in most of the narrations - and this is its minimum by Consensus - to 12 rak`ats, although the basis seems 4 as per the hadith of `A'isha in Muslim, Ibn Majah, Ahmad, and others: "Yes, the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to pray Duha in 4 rak`ats. After that he may add whatever Allah wished" and other narrations, and this is the best number according to a number of the Imams of Hadith, among them al-Hakim and al-Kattani.

Ablution
Wudu (partial ablution) is the minor purification ritual necessary before worship of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala . A state of wudu is required before touching the Qu'ran in its original Arabic script, and before salat. It is the Islamic act of washing specific parts of the body in a specific way using water.

Why is Wudu necessary ?

The Messenger of Allah salla Allahu alaihi wa-sallam said: "The Prayer of none amongst you would be accepted in a state of impurity till he performs ablution." (Sahih Muslim, [Eng. Trans. Vol. 1. hadith #435]) The Messenger of Allah salla Allahu alaihi wa-sallam said : "The key to paradise is salah, and the key to as-salah is wudu" (Tirmidhi, Transmitted Ahmad, Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah ) Allah (sat) ordered salat in the holy Qu'ran: O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salah [the prayer] wash your faces and your hands [forearms] up to the elbows... and your heads and (wash) your feet up to the ankles(5:6) Quite clearly, unless, one performs all the necessary purification, their salat will not be accepted, and if one knowingly forgoes the necessary wudu or ghusl but offers their prayers anyways, their prayers will be invalid, and it will be the same as if they deliberately skipped the prayer, and intentionally missing a fard prayer is a sin.

1st Thing you should know!!!

Remove anything from your body that might invalidate your wudu: before making wudu, if one is wearing nailpolish or fake nails, they must be removed, because the water will not touch the hand in its entirety so the wudu will be incomplete and any following salat will be invalid. Making wudu before applying nailpolish only means that your wudu is good until it is broken and you will have to remove your nailpolish and reapply it everytime you remake your wudu. Fake nails are disliked at all times, and in many opinions harraam. Hair extensions, wigs, fake eyelashes, and eyelash extensions fall under the same category as fake nails. Allah (swt) knows best, and it is the majorirty opinion that is is safer to refrain from using any of the previous mentioned.*** This also means removing rings or any jewelry that are so tight to the skin that water cannot reach it.
