Basketball Lesson KIN 460 Final Project

Dribbling Activities
Dribble in place with each hand for one minute. Dribble between cones, do a crossover at each cone, between the legs, and then behind the back. Dribble in place with 2 basketballs at the same time. Dribble to the opposite end of the court with 2 basketballs at the same time. Dribble while sprinting as fast as you can to opposite end of the court. Play Dribble Knockout. (Each student has their own ball and try to knock other players balls away from them while maintaining their dribble.

Passing Activities
Passing back and forth to a partner Passing to a partner while moving Passing to a partner with a defender Passing off of rebounds to a partner Play Team Keep Away. (Two separate teams where you get 3 dribbles and then have to pass it within 2 seconds or it is the other teams ball. Team that has the ball the longest wins.)

Passing Cues
Lead your partner Make sure they are looking when you are passing to them Fully extend your arms Hit your partner where their hands are

Passing Stats
3 Holds ball on either side of the ball, steps towards target, says teammates name, extends arm, flicks wrist, caught by receiver. 2 Steps towards the target, extends arms, flicks wrist most of the time, the teammate is able to catch it most of the time 1 Rarely steps towards the target, never calls partners name, extends arms, rarely flicks wrist, gets the ball to partner less than 50% of the time 0 Never steps towards their partner, never says partners name, no flick in wrist, rarely makes the pass to partner.

Shooting Activities
Lay-ups from both sides, using each hand Shoot 10 free-throws Spot up shooting (10 shots from each spot) Partner shooting Play Hot Shots game. ( 2 people at each basket and they have 1 basketball. There is spots designated all over the court ranging from 1-6 points. They have a minute to get as many points as they can.
