PrxTotal measurements
PrxTotal values are presented according to: BTS reports total UL interference (RSSI) with a resolution of 0.1 dB with the range [-112, ...,-50] dBm
Sample 1 : Unloaded Sample 2 : Feasible load area 1 Sample 3 : Feasible load area 1 Sample 4 : Feasible load area 2 Sample 5 : Marginal load area Sample 6 : Overload area

The counters are already average value (no need to divide by the
denom) in Watt
Class 0
Due to external and inter-cell interference the measurement PrxTotal in Class O might result to be higher than that in the other load classes

The Average PrxTotal KPI is the average uplink received interference power in absolute terms. The Node B sends uplink received interference power measurements to the RNC every radio resource indication period (typically every 200 ms).
k All _ Classes
high uplink traffic load, high background interference, high uplink intercell interference problems with PrxTotal measurements. wrong commisioning (MHA)
Not possible to distinguish between them -> not usefull for busy hour
The KPI is meaningful only for cell level and on hour basis

The Time in class X KPI is the percentage of time the cell has been in class X .
k All _ Classes
This KPI can be used for: Percentage of time in class 3-4: useful for detecting cell overload problems Percentage of time in class 0: useful for detecting hanging load in the cell The KPI is dependent on the parameters PrxTarget and PrxOffset The KPI is meaningful only for cell level and on hour basis

Average PrxNoise
AVE_PRX_NOISE (M1000C10)
In case the PrxTotal result is in the unloaded area i.e. Lrt<UnloadedRT and Lnrt<UnloadedNRT, the received PrxTotal value is used to update the PrxNoise counter
This counter is a sum over a measurement period divided by a denominator (already averaged value) UPDATED: In every radio resource indication period
The KPI is meaningfull only for cell level and on hour basis The KPI is dependent on parameters: PrxNoise and autotuning algorithm

The auto-tuning algorithm moves the rference point of the load curve and this means that all the areas can be shifted up and down during the day this means that a certain value of PrxTotal (which is measured by the bts) may trigger different areas during the day. For example the sample 4 triggers in the first case the class 2 while in the second case the class 1, but its the same value of power!

PtxTotal measurements
PtxTotal means the total transmitted power in a cell the counter value is already average in Watt dBm and real value is obtained dividing by 100
Ptx CCHs
INCREMENTED IF PtxTotal = power of all CCHs on (no Ues in cell_dch) PtxTarget -PtxOffset > PtxTotal > (PtxCPICH + PtxPCCPCH) PtxTarget > PtxTotal >= PtxTarget - PtxOffset PtxTarget + PtxOffset > PtxTotal >= PtxTarget

The Average PtxTotal KPI is the average downlink transmitted power in absolute terms. The result includes the transmit power assigned to both common and dedicated physical channels. The Node B sends total downlink transmit power measurements to the RNC every radio resource indication period (typically every 200 ms)
k All _ Classes
This KPI addresses only the total downlink transmit power requirement. It does not address the transmit power requirement on a per radio link basis. The RNC counter AVE_TRX_FOR_RL_IN_CELL provides the measurement on a per radio link basis. This KPI may be used to identify sites which are experiencing: WPA expansion, Carriers expansion High DL path loss / interference (check AC failures) DL power is linked to user The KPI is meaningful only for cell level and on hour basis mobility -> not usefull for
busy hour

A single downlink scrambling code supports an OVSF code tree containing 508 codes (based upon spreading factors from 4 to 256). The Channelisation Code Occupancy KPI provides an indication of the perecentage of codes which are either used or blocked. Channelisation codes assigned to both the common and dedicated downlink channels are included by the KPI. The codes used by the common channels are: Primary CPICH - Cch,256,0, Primary CCPCH - Cch,256,1, AICH - Cch,256,2, PICH - Cch,256,3, Secondary CCPCH - Cch,64,1 (if a second S-CCPCH is configured, an additional channelisation code will be assigned). The use of these common channel channelisation codes blocks 1 SF4 code, 1 SF8 code, 1 SF16 code, 1 SF32 code, 1 SF64 code, 4 SF128 codes and 4 SF256 codes. The total number of codes used by the common channels is thus 18 (based upon a single SCCPCH). It should be recognised that the Secondary CCPCH and AICH are not always active.
Both counters are updated every 20 s (due to inaccuracy in sampling the denom can range from 179 to 181) There are counters form MIN and MAX code occupancy (usefull for detecting cell busy hour) The KPI is meaningful only for cell level and on hour basis Customer Confidential 15 NOKIA T-Mobile_ Cell resource /20/07/2005/MJR
