The Arrival of Islam in Subcontinent


News of advent of Islam heard by people of Subcontinent the very same day when door of this universal religion opened for people of Makkah. Testified by pages of History Islam crossed border for first time by trade caravans.

According to Sufi bin Shehryar A deputation set out to Madina in time Period of Holy Prophet(SAW) from Sarnadip to Madina and reached there in Era of Umer Farooq(RA) to get Islamic Knowledge directly. The out standing trade relations were the main cause in the establishment of new Islamic bonds in sub continent.

Advent of Ilm e Haith in Subcontinent


The subcontinent land got opportunity to kiss the feets of successors of Holy Prophet(SAW) . Among them were narrators and scholars who played a great role in spreading Ilm e Hadith,

Compilation of Hadith not comprehensive and effort of Individual.The reasons are: 1. Companions stayed for short time 2. Socio Economic conditions were not conductive 3. It began in Arab so Hijaz,Kufa,Basrah,Sham and Iraq were made centres.

Companions which went to Subcontinent


The Companions went to Subcontinent in era of Hazrat Umar Farooq(RA).
The first companion who went to Subcontinent was Al Hakam bin Abi Al Aas Sahar bin Al Abdi belonged to tribe Abdul Qays. Obaid bin Al Tameeni was a great scholar of Hadith.

AbdulRehman bin Samra belonged to tribe of Quraish.

Sanan bin Salma Al Hazali was the last companion who went to Subcontinent.

Initiation of Publishing Ilm e Hadith in Subcontinent


In Subcontinent publishing of Hadith knowledge commenced in Second century. Subcontinent territory pre occupied by religious knowledge and discussion regarding hadith was in continuation. Suhuf of hadith were organized as per order of Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz.

Commencement Of Hadith Knowledge in Subcontinent in Three Phases


PHASE I
Companions, Tabieen and Tabatabeen came from Arabia and sowed the seed of Hadith in New Muslim hearts.

PHASE II
Native Muslim left there county and went to Arabia to learn Quran and Hadith.

PHASEIII
The native Muhaditheen made Ilm Hadith institutions in different places.

Narrators of Hadith in First Phase


Musa Bin Yaqoob Saqfi
Suleman Bin Abdul Mulq
Great Scholar of Hadith. Came to Sindh with Muhammad bin Qasim and settled there permanently. Appointed as judge of Aloor.

Appointed at place of Muhammad bin Qasim. Stayed in Sindh for 18 days then died. Listened many ahadith from companions and his narated ahadith are found in Sahi Bukhari.

Abu Musa Israel bin Musa Al Rabaih bin Sabiah Basri
From Busra came to sindh for trading and settled there. Authentic Narrator from Hassan Basri. High rank among muhaditheen narrated ahadith part of Bukhari Sunan.
A great Muhadith from Basrah. Went to Hindustan with armed forces conquered Barbur and cant prolong stay. Got knowledge from Hassan Basri. Among Muhaditheen who compiled ahadith in second century.

Narrators of Hadith in Second Phase


Abu Jafar Dabeeli
Hassan bin Hamid Dabeeli
Cenre of knowledge as his name indicates. Gained knowledge from Muhaditeen of Makkah and did not returned back to his country. He has a great number of students and teachers.

He was a scholar of Hadith. Whenhe narrated ahadith his eyes became filled with tears. He died in Misr.

Narrators of Hadith in Third Phase


Those narrators who spreaded knowledge of hadith belonged to initial institutions. Institutions were located in Deebal and Mansura. Institutions depict the determination of Muslim regarding hadith knowledge.

The Institute Of Hadith In Deebal


In Fourth century the first institute of Hadith was located in Deebal. Centre of trade so seaport was established there. Muhammad bin Qasim conquered this port and built a mosque there and gradually the publication of Islamic knowledge started there. A lot of hadith narrator belonging to Daeebal are mentioned in hadith books.

The Institute of Hadith in Mansura


Mansura was conquered by son of Muhammad bin Qasim In 883 Ah became famous due to Arab dynasty established in Sind. Al Maqaddasi described that Muslim of place had great affliction with their religion. A proper arrangement of lectures of Hadith in Masjids and they compiled a large number of hadith.

Muwaliyanah Muhaditheen Subcontinent


In History hadith narrated by Subcontinent people were discovered were Hindi prisoners of war. Muslim Muwaliys did great job in spread of hadith in field of education. Names of Nafai,Maula ibn Umer,Akrama,Ibn Abbas and Mujahid are worth mentioning.
