Siebel Analytics Applications

Provides all that the standalone application does, plus applications for common industry analytical processing such as Service Analytics, Sales Analytics, Pharma Analytics, and so on
A prebuilt database (Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse) designed for analytical processing with prebuilt routines to extract, load, and transform data from the Siebel eBusiness application (transactional) database Prebuilt repositories that are configured to work with the SRMW Prebuilt role-based Dashboards to support the needs of line managers to chief executive officers Prebuilt screens, views, and applets to support accessing the supplied Dashboards through a Siebel application

Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse

Prebuilt database in star schema format Uses Siebel Analytics tools to design, manage, and run routines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from the Siebel eBusiness Applications (transactional) database and external databases
Data is loaded into prebuilt star schemas from tables in the Siebel transactional database W_GEO_D W_TERR_D W_INDUSTRY_D W_REV_F W_OFFER_D W_POSITION_D

Loading the Data Warehouse

Prebuilt batch processes are used to extract, transform, and load data into the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse (SRMW)
Extract data from the Siebel system Transform data into optimized formatnumeric aggregations Load data into the SRMW

Can be full or refresh loads

Data Warehouse
Focuses on a subset of corporate data Optimized to quickly retrieve only needed data

Siebel DB
Is the focus of the Data Warehouse course

Siebel RMW

Prebuilt Siebel Analytics Repository

Has subject-specific business models that map to the SRMW and Siebel operational (OLTP) database

All applications are modeled in the repository

Module 15: Siebel Analytics Applications Overview

Predefined repository eliminates the need to build it from scratch

Role-Based Analytics

Prebuilt Dashboards are role-based

Users Siebel application login or position determines the data visible Users Siebel role in organization determines the type of analytics applications available
Employee asks... Which of my accounts has the highest order revenue?

Manager asks...

Which of my teams accounts have the highest order revenue? Which accounts have the highest order revenue for the business?
