NOVICE
Performs basic nursing procedures based on PPCR utilizing the nursing process. Staff nurse BSN degree, with current license, with or without experience Standards/Activities - Institutions to conduct competency level assessment. - Conduct training programs based on learning needs identified. - Training programs in all levels to be submitted to ANSAP.
ADVANCE BEGINNER
Demonstrates skills competency to basic nursing procedures. Able to plan comprehensive NCP utilizing the nursing process. Charge Nurse/Headnurse/Nurse Clinician 1 With minimum of 9 units in MAN, with experience of 2 years related to clinical experience Standards/Activities (Refer to Handout)
COMPETENT
Able to rebate/confer/coordinate with physicians and other members of the health team on a specific and appropriate nursing management. Supervisors/Clinical Instructors/Nurse Clinician II With minimum of 30 units in MAN, with minimum of 5 years related clinical experience Standards/Activities (Refer to Handout)
PROFICIENT
Able to apply and implement innovations based on experiences/resources/studies in nursing care management. Chief Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist MAN, with 8 years related clinical experience preferably in area of specialization. Standards/Activities (Refer to Handout)
EXPERT
Act as consultant / resource person in nursing. Nursing consultant MAN, with doctoral units of PhD, with 12 years related clinical experience, with accredited nursing specialty Standard/Activities (Refer to Handout)
ADVANCE BEGINNER
Has sufficient experience to easily understand aspects of the situation. They view clinical situations as a challenge of their abilities & the demands of the situation placed on them instead of the patients needs. They feel more responsible for managing patient care, yet they still rely on the help of those who have more experience.
PROFICIENT
Perceives the situation as a whole rather than in terms of aspects & performance is guided by maxims. They no longer rely on present goals for organization, & they show an increased confidence in their knowledge & skills.
