Beliefs
A Belief is a conviction in the truth of a proposition. Beliefs are held without recourse to proof or evidence. Belief Systems often deal with issues which cannot be explained by reason or logic creation, the meaning of life, afterlife.

Attitude
A learned predisposition to respond to an object or a class of objects in a consistently favorable or unfavorable way.

Attitudes generally can fall any where alone a continum between favourable to extremely unfavourable Attitudes are aimed at some objects about which the person has some associate feelings
Types of Attitudes
Job satisfaction It is the one how one feels about ones job Job involvement This refers to the extent to which an individual
identify psychological with his/her job and will try to perform the job to the best of his ability
Organisational commitment
This can be visual in how the employee has identified with the organisation
Components of attitudes
Attitudes can be broken down in to three components
Emotional Informational Behavioural
Emotional: It is with persons feelings or affect about and object which may be either positive, negative or neutral Informational: It will include all the beliefs the person may have about the person or object Behavioural: It refers to the persons tendency to behave in a particular manner towards the object or person

Adjustment function:
Attitudes help employees to adjust their work environment
Ego-defensive function:
Attitudes also help individuals in defending their self image
Cognitive Dissonance
A state of internal tension that results from an inconsistency between any knowledge , belief, opinion, attitude or feeling about the environment, oneself of ones behavior. It is psychologically uncomfortable.
Job Satisfaction
A pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of job experience Factors affecting job satisfaction:
